Today’s Magic the Gathering card combo aims to combine Splinter Twin and Deceiver Exarch.
Here’s how it works:
At the end of your opponent’s turn, cast Deceiver Exarch (it has Flash). On your turn, cast Splinter Twin and enchant the Exarch. Now, you can create an infinite amount of duplicate Exarchs – tap the enchanted Exarch to create a new copy, which enters the battlefield, allowing you to untap the enchanted one again, and repeat the combo until you have enough creatures to attack for the win (they all have Haste).
Since the banning of Jace, the Mindsculptor and Stoneforge Mystic, decks running this combo have been dominating tournament Top 8 lists (for example, it won and had a total of three Top 8 placements in Star City Games’ recent Boston Open, held on 8/20 and 8/21 – compare to two placements of Caw Blade and two placements of Valakut combo). It also won the recent Pro Tour PTQ: Philadelphia on 8/7/2011, taking both 1st and 2nd place.
